Eventually we’ll stop burning fossil fuels because it will be too immediately money-type expensive. In my opinion, that will be the only driver that works.
The new dangerous addiction is Trump because if he comes back, we are DEAD!
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Anti-Donald Trump Republicans know they are in the middle of a critical moment to stop the former president’s political comeback. But for some, the steep cost of voicing resistance to Trump often renders them silent.“If you go against Trump, like — you’re over,” said Kyle Clare, 20, a member of the University of Iowa’s College Republicans.
“I don’t talk about Donald Trump a lot because I’m afraid of the backlash,” said Jody Sears, 66, a registered Republican from Grimes, Iowa.

Smoking stinks!! Smokers don’t realize how much the smell lingers. Many times, I can tell when smokers are near me in the grocery store. It’s almost as disgusting as the bathless people.
The two largest contributors to greenhouse emissions are China and India, and neither are the least bit interested in crashing their economies over “Climate change”. Meanwhile, the U.S. has lowered the amount, with no thanks to elite democrats like John Kerry flying everywhere in his private jet that emits as much greenhouse gas as a Boeing 747.
It’s frustrating to know there are people out there who would happily wait until there isn’t a drop of oil left before considering alternative energy sources. It doesn’t seem to matter how much damage fossil fuels do to our environment. But, to those “drill, drill, drill” folks, what do you think is going to happen to the price of oil as the oil supplies continue to diminish? Whether anyone wants to acknowledge it or not, oil is finite – we will run out someday. Do we not think of future generations at all?
A disclaimer, I spent a long and rewarding (in experiences, friends made, and other things at least as much if not more, it’s a ‘roller-coaster’ industry, as financial) career in petroleum exploration and production. There are multiple reasons for the current dependence on petroleum products in particular that go way beyond the commonly thought of benefits for heat, transportation, manufacturing etc. Yes, it turns out that in the amounts we use it we have a serious problem and that use, among many other things, is destroying the ecosystem we live in and depend upon for survival. It has to change, and soon. But. To completely quit using them overnight would lead to widespread disruption in our global economic system of, among other things, the production and distribution of food. Petroleum products are key to the production of food, in the manufacture and distribution of fertilizers to start and distribution of the harvested food worldwide at the end. How to replace that, at a cost that still makes it work? And, what about side effects from the replacement? Are we trading the problems from petroleum for others we don’t realize yet? Almost certainly. The introduction of motorized carriages (shortened to ‘cars’) was hailed by big cities at the time like New York as a way to solve a terrible pollution problem that involved widespread filth, stench, and disease. Horse droppings. Even with poo-bags there was a serious problem. Not saying we mustn’t and can’t change, just think it through and make it better.
question: what if Putin, Hamas, Netanyahu & the campaign of Orange Cronus synchronized the attack of Oct. 7th not only to draw focus away from Ukraine, or to raise the plight of the Palestinians of Gaza (check/check) – but to manipulate the outrage over dead babies (see Hiroshima) so that those who didn’t want to believe fascism would come here vowed to conflate/delay aid to Ukraine with fleeing immigrants at the southern border & cause many a right tender-hearted human to vow not to vote for Biden because of America’s military pact with Israel…?

Tobacco is more addictive than many illegal drugs. Kicking the oil habit will be much harder.

They’ve started to talk the talk; now we’ll see if they will walk the walk. Otherwise, they’re just blowing smoke.

Clay Bennett will save us all by connecting a hose to the unicorn’s a$$ and collecting his farts! But he’ll wait until we run out of pixie dust.

Since water vapor makes up 95% of greenhouse gasses, how does fossil fuels account for 75% of greenhouse gasses. Is oil loaded up with water?
Just more climate change BS from the left.

The grid electricity people use around here to charge their EVs is generated by burning coal and natural gas.
