Because, just as surely as that gray dog made that mess, that evil Biden personally created hurricane Idalia, with the vast power of his pure evil-ness. /s

Good one Mike. In the leftist world, everything is the fault of climate change, Trump, or preferably both.

@ Sun: Covid was a hoax instigated by the Democratic party, also. Until it wasn’t, and killed more than a million Americans, many swearing with their dying breaths that they did not have it.

This “hoax” has the same playlist (although a much longer timeline), and will end the same way, no matter how many people don’t believe.

“It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature.”

Natural weather pattern occurrences are just that, entirely natural. It’s been going on since before humans, and will continue long after humans cease to exist.

The denial of anthropogenic climate change is not about science. It’s hoisting a political banner of a dead end party. It’s purely reactive. Those experts can’t tell us what to do! But, as noted above, the climate doesn’t care. Imagine children in school just a few years from now scratching their heads. What was the matter with them?

The strawman arguments, the ad hominem attacks, the cognitive dissonance are on full display today. Can humans do enough to mitigate the worst aspects of climate change should be the debate. For example, those whining about humans migrating, buckle up; it’s going to be a bumpy ride (although I suspect that the GC crowd skews older-maybe that’s why they don’t care to consider these things?).

I have always thought if humans put their minds to something, they can solve that thing. I still think that regarding climate change despite the decreasing population of naysayers’ loud, loud voices.

Yeah! Why do we spend so much money and resources to keep those long term records?

Of what value is it to know that the global temperature has risen in recent years? All that does is provide propaganda for those conspirators who actually believe that rising global temperature will have negative consequences.

For that matter, it totally, totally discriminates against those who believe the Earth is flat. And their opinion is every bit as valid as those stupid corrupted scientists.

    .

And what’s the big deal about the Wasteful Weather Bureau being able to track the path of hurricanes in advance?

Once we reelect our 215 pound stable genius, HE will inform everyone of the True Path of any hurricanes.

Sorry, I don’t get what people think the motive for such a hoax would be. The scientists don’t gain anything by saying climate change is real, and Democrats, despite what the right would have you believe, want the country to be prosperous as do the other side.

Think about who stands to gain or lose if climate change is to be countered. And as someone above said, it will cost exponentially more in 20-30 years if we don’t do something now. And the scientists say yes, something CAN be done.

‘He didn’t build a dam thing’: Biden unloads on Trump in Labor Day speech

President Joe Biden took a swipe a quadrupedally-criminally indicted ex-President Donald Trump in a Labor Day speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Monday, NBC News’ Henry Gomez reports.

“The guy who held this job before me was just one of two presidents in history … who left office with fewer jobs in America than when he got elected to office,” Biden said of Trump, under whose watch the COVID-19 pandemic decimated the American economy. “By the way, you know who the other one was? Herbert Hoover. Isn’t that kind of coincidental?"

Biden jabbed at Trump’s persona as a successful New York City property developer while touting his administration’s domestic investments as well as last week’s strong jobs report.

“Guess what? The great real estate builder, the last guy, he didn’t build a thing,” Biden declared. “Under my predecessor, Infrastructure Week became a punchline. On my watch, infrastructure has been a decade and it’s a headline.”

Biden continued, “When the last guy was here, we were shipping jobs to China. Now we’re bringing jobs home from China. When the last guy was here, your pensions were at risk. We helped save millions of pensions with your help. When the last guy was here, he looked at the world from Park Avenue. I look at it from Scranton, Pennsylvania, I look at it from Claymont, Delaware.”

“All I hear from my friends on the other side is what they say is wrong with America,” Biden said, per NBC. “They keep telling us America’s failing. They’re wrong. I’ve got news for them: America has the strongest economy in the world right now, today.”

There are definite signs of global warming (to use the original phrase), eg ocean temperatures running either side of 100 degrees F. If the planet does go through a major climate upheaval, it will come out in a new state of stability. We may not like that state. We may not even be able to survive in it, being one of the many species which will be extinct. But that’s how it will be.
