Bok, a federal ban on all abortions is just the beginning:

Next up is banning all sex education and making all forms of contraception illegal.

Because Freedom. And “pro life”.

And once again: The point of banning abortions is NOT to reduce their number. Contraceptives, sex education, access to health care and other efforts, would accomplish that.

That is NOT the objective.

The objective is to PUNISH SINNERS, women sinners, and especially poor women sinners. (of course, being poor shows that they are not in God’s graces and are therefore sinners anyway)

And does ANYONE believe that once abortions are made illegal, that they will not be available to Republican legislators?

SCOTUS says turn abortion rights back to the states. Republicans say , “Hold my beer!” We’re going national! Repubs, please run on a national abortion ban. Guarantee the biggest blue tsunami ever!

Sex education and birth control to end abortion. Prayers doesn’t work, never has, never will.

The only amazing thing is that SCOTUS waited 46 years to do what should have been done immediately.

Should be sent to Congress. SCOTUS does not make laws.

Every single Republican is going to be tied to the abortion issue—every single one. Every single Republican is going to be tied to Trump’s crimes.

Kansas, Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio. The Republicans have been warned. Women don’t like it when things are taken away from. As a matter of fact, they’re incensed. They are just waiting for the polls to open. The Republicans are going to lose so bad in 2024. Tick. Tick. Tick.

Hot potato no one wants to deal with.

Americans are going to vote out republicans for interfering in their sex lives and making women 2nd class citizens with no control over their own bodies.

Some are now going so far as to charter private aircraft to fly them from certain states to other certain states for a “medical vacation” as occurred in the 1960s and 70s.

OK, the dog caught the car. Doesn’t he realize that yet? Biting the tire and hanging on will not go well.

Back to the “supreme” court? Like they have a clue past who butters their bread?

I am sure some States feel that way, in both parties.

Overturning Roe v Wade has nothing to do with a “federal ban on all abortions”. In fact, it is just the opposite. It says that abortion is not an issue that can be regulated by the feds, either pro or con. The constitution’s 10th amendment says that powers not expressly given to the federal government are the jurisdiction of the states. Some states will say ok, and some will say no. Now if we can just get an case before the Supreme Court challenging the legality of the EPA, hopefully we’ll get the same ruling.

But wait! Wasn’t it the Repubs who were shouting from the rooftops that it was truly a state matter, not federal?

Massive whiplash.

In fact, I think in many cases, your morality is deeply lacking if all you want is a child born but not a child fed, not a child educated, not a child housed. And why would I think that you don’t? Because you don’t want any tax money to go there. That’s not pro-life. That’s pro-birth. We need a much broader conversation on what the morality of pro-life is.”

Abortions were and are always available to the elite women, who really should have a gaggle of kids considering they have the resources to raise born fetuses. Patriarchy doesn’t work that way. As long as a majority of American women are punished, the few elite are “forgiven” for not keeping the fetus inside their body until it is delivered.

Now that ballot initiatives are proving that even in red states people want access to abortion, republicans are frantically restricting ballot initiatives.
