The US exceptionalism can only work as long as its populace can be tolerant/acceptive of each others’ differences. Lamentably, for several decades there has been an increasing political exploitation of differences as a way to win populist elections. As this divide widens, we find on one side, those who value truth through educational attainment using math/science/logic as tools … and on the other side, are those who reject educational attainment and prefer conspiracy theories, innuendo, even lies that portray their belief system as superior — in spite of well-documented self-harm. A divided nation is weak and vulnerable.

Those who fear and suppress AI, for example, should realistically be more afraid that our enemies will advance it, unimpeded, and use it against us. At a time when we should be electing our most competent, collaborative, team players to serve and make us more resilient, … we are instead choosing those who are most incompetent and obstructive further weakening our already divided nation.

I keep forgetting how inane Gorrell’s cartoons are.

But he always reminds me.

This is a very general non-specific accusation designed to satisfy the simple minded.

If this is about the billions of federal funds lost to fraud and graft during the pandemic, most of which occurred under the Trump administration (but was continued under Biden), then this cartoon is appropriate, even for Mr. Gorrell.

Wow, more denial, even though people are still dying everyday from it. Some of them long painful deaths, stretching months to years before dying from Covid. All, because some fools believed what MAGAt’s and Q told them. Oh, well. Keep up the good work of making the USA bluer with almost every Covid death.

I’m sure the million plus dead (just in this country) knew it was a hoax.
