It’s easy to think of “the Earth” as a single thing when you draw it this way. But it’s really REALLY BIG! Which means that when you are talking about something local-ish, you’re looking at a tiny percentage of the planet. What time is it on Earth? Go ahead, stop waffling, just tell me what time it is! Similar applies to weather, including, for instance, Canadian forest fires smoke.

    Sorry, Aliens, you’re late.

We just had a pandemic where we all stopped driving for a while and our air cleared up. Sadly, the abstaining from driving ICE cars didn’t last.

The only way they can do that is if they have a time machine, and they use it to visit a time before the Industrial Age began.

So, what do political cartoonists want the US government to do about it? Declare war on Canada? Raise tariffs against Canada? Increase policing at the border? Build a wall at the Canadian border? Make Canada pay for the smoke? Sadly, many of my countrymen are willfully ignorant and entitled. I understand that American first responders are already working with Canadian fire fighters if they can be spared, which is the only responsible action.

You may have a long wait. With all the warehouses going up in my area, without the current air issues, the air quality was already suffering from all the trees, fields, and farms concreted and asphalted over.

Welcome to the party Pal, the West goes through smoke clouds almost yearly. Wait until glowing ash starts falling. I’m headed to Albany next week, it will remind me of home in Kali.

We got lucky here in North Carolina: we had a lot of rain yesterday. The sunsets and sunrises are exceptionally red though.

Jewish Space lasers strike again! If those Canadians would just rake their forests we would not be in this situation.
