The birds splash in our birdbath so much that we sometimes refill it five times during the day. Each time, the remaining water is filthy. We haven’t seen any squirrels using it.
With what the birds do in the birdbath, they have no reason to complain about the squirrel’s feet. Despite all that, I have seen squirrels drinking out of the birdbath.
My birdbath was designed with a base and a removable bowl. The bowl kept ending up on the ground. I had been blaming the squirrels, but I finally caught a raccoon pulling it down trying to get up to it.

I know it’s not appropriate, but a BB gun whould be so helpful in this strip, for the squirrels and the stupid cat.
