Did Mr. Ramirez say this about the $3 TRILLION that Prez George W. spent on bombing brown people!?!? How about the Trillions lost due to giving the 1% tax breaks so they could buy a social media site, for example, and lose billions.

And Pres. Biden has not said “no” to spending cuts. He has said: Put your cards on the table and let’s see what we can do. Republicans insist on threatening the credit of the US and the economy by refusing to pay for things already spent.

As over 80% of the national debt can be attributed to republican presidents and republican controlled congress, why do republicans only want to balance the budget while they do not control the Whitehouse?

Both parties have taxed and spent us into debt and now perhaps bankruptcy. Biden is president. What is he doing aboutu. He is now in-charge. Or is he?

‘You don’t actually have any facts’: Fox News host stomps on James Comer’s Biden investigation

Fox News host Steve Doocy pushed back against Rep. James Comer (R-KY) after the powerful Oversight Committee chairman claimed President Joe Biden and his family were engaged in an influence-peddling scheme.

“I know the Republicans said that the smoking gun were these financial records that you were able to subpoena and got your hands on,” Doocy told Comer on Thursday. “And your party, the Republican investigators, say that that’s proof of influence peddling by Hunter and James [Biden].”

“But that’s just your suggestion,” the Fox News host added. “You don’t actually have any facts to that point. You’ve got some circumstantial evidence.”

Doocy added: “And the other thing is, of all those names, the one person who didn’t profit is that — there’s no evidence that Joe Biden did anything illegally.”

So you’re willing to claim that the proper place for discussing the budget is NOT while passing the budget, but during a “crisis” manufactured for political purposes?

How so? How do you justify that?

The American Government is a service organization that needs revenue to pay for the services it provided. Conservatives/republicans have been cheating the American people by charging themselves, and those who keep them in power, less for the majority of services THEY use the most. They simply allow the services to be charged, without any plans to, at some time, pay for those services, but instead to make others carry their burden, to increase profits.

Among McCarthy’s demands are that the Trump tax cuts be extended, which will make the debt even worse.

A principle which is selectively applied ceases to be a principle. Trump ran up the debt bigly, but there was no pushback to raise the debt limit. Mostly because failing to do so would be economically catastrophic.

At the end of fiscal year 2020, the debt was $26.9 trillion. Trump added $6.7 trillion to the debt between fiscal year 2017 and fiscal year 2020, a 33.1% increase, largely due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and 2020 recession.

President Obama added about $8.6 trillion, about a 74% increase, to the national debt at the end of President Bush’s last budget in 2009.

On Oct. 1, 2021, at the end of fiscal year 2021, the national debt was $28.4 trillion. Between the end of fiscal year 2020 and the end of fiscal year 2021, the national debt grew $1.5 trillion, a 5.6% increase year over year. For fiscal year 2022, President Joe Biden’s budget included a deficit of $1.84 trillion, and by August 2022, the national debt had grown to $30.8 trillion.

First pay our debt. Then work on a workable budget that makes rich people and large corporations pay double their share since trump’s tax cut allowed them to keep unfair amounts. The # of billionaires and multimillionaires is shameful, especially in a democratic republic like the U.S. of A.

Republicans budget cuts are both punitive and damaging to our economy. What exactly is their objective ? To make people poorer and have them join the homeless ? Why can’t they suck it up and rescind the trump tax cuts and pay a greater share of taxes ? The GOP is unbelievably petty and reckless threatening to default on the National Debt
