I like it. I also like the current style. It’s great that you listen, some people have legitimate input. But too often it’s just bellyachers, and they will find something to gripe about no matter what. You guys are a creative team, don’t let the yahoos dictate your art.
There is always a nay-sayer in every group. “If you can satisfy 10% of the people 10% of the time…you are running about average.” The rest of us enjoy the work you do.
While of course the visualization of a couple characters has changed, the art style seems pretty much the same to me. A good reason for me to keep my opinion to myself, if I even had one.

I can never tell if the “throwbacks” are real, or a false narrative that’s part of the strip.

I never read one complaint about the way your strips are drawn. Only compliments. Don’t be like America and change because of the very small minority.
