Wouldn’t it be nice if someone could get a straight story out of the Qubs about what they want for a border policy? I’ve heard literally everything.

Crap, it would be nice to simply hear them say “two million turned back means the border isn’t open”. But we don’t.

Because Gov Abbott has proved he is incapable of dealing with the situation?

He’s sending 1500 there because the Fearful Republicans would absolutely have screaming fits if he did not.

Trump sent over 5,000. How will only 1,500 do the job? Perhaps “the job” is passing out water, erecting tents, and completing paperwork?

The title 42 policy from the disgraced former administration was put in place to control immigration under the false pretense of Covid-19 protection, which they did not even care about for the citizens. Now that is expiring and again, the Biden administration is left to mop up the former president’s mess, just like Afghanistan. Troop placement is totally justified and required.

At the length of 1900 miles or so, 1500 soldiers is not even one soldier per mile. Our border is secure. But adding a little help couldn’t hurt.

Reality is the border is neither open nor secure…and it’s always been that way.

We should absolutely prevent those people from coming to the United States!

We can’t have that!

All they want to do is work hard, feed their families, and provide for a better life.

They are fleeing poverty, political corruption, and gun-toting criminals.

And they want to come to Texas?

They have NO policy or policies they have proposed or passed (Republicans control the House). NONE.

When Trump was elected, they proposed NO legislation.

Instead, they constantly scream that the border is OPEN whenever a Democrat is president, and claim it’s all under control when a Republican is president. (It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It). They do not pass, or even propose legislation. The ONLY solution they believe in, is The Wall, that they believe Mexico will pay for.

It is again, government by bumper sticker.

What they DO, is to hire illegals at all levels of business, AND invoke massive amounts of H-1B visas, and other H-1 visas to import ‘legals’ who nobody tracks.

Their analysis consists solely of tracking crimes committed by illegals and screaming that none of that would have happened without the porous border.

One reason that Biden is sending troops to the border is because alt-rights are afraid and screaming…

Because Biden is anticipating a rush when Title 42 runs out. You know, planning ahead, something The Former Guy could never do.

Conservatives crab when they think Biden does nothing. Then he does something and they still b*tch. I swear conservatives only know how to tear down not how to build.

To answer the question posed in the cartoon, he’s sending them there because the government is going to quit pretending they’re kicking asylum seekers out because they might have Covid.

It’s clear to me that the MAGA crowd doesn’t want a solution to the border problem, which is probably less than the CRISIS they think it is. They like to complain about it and have so far not been willing to seriously discuss things that would actually work other than “getting tough.”

Simple answer that I’ve seen on the TV news, heard on the radio and read online without even LOOKING for it.

Title 42 that was put in to add more controls during Covid is expiring. The 1500 from the military are going there to support the Border Agents. They will not replace the agents nor will they take over their functions.

Biden is thinking ahead. Summers isn’t even paying attention.

Many of these migrants – maybe most – will do the hard work in the fields harvesting foodstuffs for our supermarkets.

So, when you complain about them, try not to talk with your mouth full.

It’s all just another notch on the belt for Biden, Worst President Ever. 6 million people are now sleeping on the streets, in shelters, in police station waiting rooms across the USA. Is that good for them? Is that good for us? The only people making out in all of this are the cartels that profit off of them. N.Y., Chicago, L.A. etc are all crying “uncle”. They can’t handle anymore. The costs for these people is in the millions of dollars. We have an immigration program. It’s not set up for people to cross the river illegally.

Why is Biden sending 1500 guards? It’s called rotation. Usually a very good idea.

As I recall, one of President Biden’s first proposals involved immigration policy. No one noticed because Chuck Schumer was trying to get back Senate control from Mitch McConnell’s claws, after being the Majority leader of the Senate for over a month.

I would really like OLLIEB to provide the facts supporting his opinion that Biden is an idiot. As the GOP has resisted any efforts at comprehensive immigration reform, so as to use it as a cultural weapon to win elections, I would nominate the GOP as idiots. There was a bipartisan reform bill in 2014, but the GOP scuttled it so as not to irritate its base. Idiots!

If the border is wide open why are there so many refugees camped out on the Mexican side of the border?

I have a better question: Why won’t Republicans craft an immigration reform bill?

I do not feel there has not been a president with the slightest clue since FDR except maybe Jimmy Carter; we pick who we think will do the least amount of damage to the country and put them in office, not one could link to the common man’s needs. I think everyone needs term limits and max age limits; get rid of the two oligarchies and start focusing on the U.S. and not corporate needs. Professional politicians are an epidemic that has infected this country and needs to be controlled by those who elected them.
