Yesterday Leo was on the mound throwing to a right hander. Today a lefty with both hands at the same spot on the bat is missing a pitch from the 1st base coach in a batters box that…I can’t even.
Marty might want to let the radio audience know the type of strikeout (swinging, called strike 3). But, 2 days in a row with sports action, the most since B.B.E. (before the Barajas Era)?
It should be obvious to everyone by now that these daily inconsistencies are done on purpose to get some readers to keep coming back and finding them and commenting on them. An artist would never draw a righty and a lefty on back to back days if not on purpose. It’s a clickbait world and time for me to move on from GT.
Does the artist get a weeks’ worth of strips at a time or does he draw one a day??Seems like if he got the whole week at once he wouldn’t have the continuity problems.

Perhaps I missed it, but who are the Bobcats? They must be in the Valley conference because they’re wearing the mandatory light blue and black unis.

The Goldthwait Bobcats ended up setting the bench on fire after the game and giving interviews is really high-pitched voices.

There are times the pitcher and catcher will change signals for pitches to cross up the opposition. Brilliant coaching Gil. Gil? Gil? Where’s Gil?

P-1: Leo dislocates his elbow before delivering the pitch.
P-2: Leo, after bulking up on “roids”, blazes his fast ball. He’ll play Offensive Line next Football Season.
P-3: Strike 3? Yes, fans, Milford was lucky, and you can enjoy Lucky Strikes, too!

That fastball must really have some movement on it, because he swung and missed by a mile.

Fastball? No, that’s a change-up grip. Fastball grip is with the fingers, not the palm.

“He threw that speed ball by him. Made him look like a fool, boy.” And speaking of fools, you’d have to be a fool not to read Mopped Up Thorp.

Can someone tell me (for real) which school in this strip is known as The Bobcats? And please don’t say it’s Bob Crosby High.
