Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true

You don’t know him very well, do you?

First day and already has a purple suit. Andy hasn’t been under 40 in a long time!

Purple suit: is that his hair or a hat/cap? Similar in shape to Andy’s cap.

I’m under 40 years of age… just roughly two more years to go. Not sure I can envision myself hauling grocery store carts in the next decade (50).

If that’s a mattress tester … why that’s age discrimination!

Andy always has been an agreeable sort of bloke. However, if he had challenged it there may have been a few quid to be gained in the law suit. Dilly! Dilly!

Why would the “Job Centre” [sic] allow an employer to post an illegal opening by specifying an age requirement?

How in the world does the new purple suit have is head completely out the small window?

The job was for a brewery beer tester. Andy should have been more inquisitive. He will be Gobsmacked if he finds out later.

LOL. His coworkers have already foisted Andy off on the newbie. He’ll learn or be quitting quickly.

At Andy’s age, he shouldn’t have to go into the employment office any more.

This may be the first person in the history of the strip to have a favorable impression of Andrew Capp

What an old smoothie Andy is….cool!

Another cause for celebration, another reason not to get a job, too old.

Andy will stretch your patience.

What sort of discrimination laws does the UK have?

On my side of the pond you may not need a job after that. You collect the damages or settlement proceeds, properly invest it & you are good to go! Less the attorney’s fees, of course.

Andy lucks out again.

A rare win-win situation for Andy and the Job Centre.

He never wants to cause trouble in the Job Centre. He’d rather cause trouble in the Rose and Crown… or the Pig and Whistle… or any other pub he knows about.

Fresh meat.

He dont want to work either
