Thankfully there is someone to say “NO” to the reckless federal spending of late.
Neither party is willing to even discuss SS & Medicare, the largest federal expenses. France is experiencing large worker strikes as Macron is discussing raising the retirement age from 62 to 64.
As always, both parties will hem and haw, wring their hands, persuade their gullible base, as evidenced in this forum, it’s 100% the fault of the other party, and do absolutely nothing.
Our children, their children, and future generations will be saddled with the debt created by greedy contemporary politicians and their supporters. I have no idea when, but there will eventually be a day of reckoning.
Republicans have put themselves in a box.. all the good ideas (benefitting the voting masses) have been taken by the democrats. So, the only options they have is to say ’no".. or, to twist the facts and try to persuade voters to think that tax breaks for the rich will help everyone.
The FIRST thing to be done if you can grab the controls of a runaway train is to bring its speed down; find a way to apply the brakes! AFTER you’ve at least slowed the headlong long rush toward disaster, then you can start planning how to take a new route.
Sadly, that’s how Barack Obama wasted much of his term, trying to be conciliatory and bipartisan with Moscow Mitch, whose game involved running out the clock and playing Lucy playing football with Charlie Brown. Gettin’ played.
Kevin McCarthy buried for latest promotion of ‘Confederate-wannabe degenerate’ Marjorie Taylor Greene
“First of all, hearing that makes my stomach turn and it should make every American stomach turn that this woman, this Confederate-wannabe, insurrectionist, degenerate, whatever sits behind and has the speaker’s gavel and preside over anything in the House of Representatives.”
’It’s bad enough to tax dollars pay her salary," she continued before adding, “It says more about Kevin McCarthy than it does about her she is who she is.”
Much easier to complain, than put in the work to create a real budget. Cutting taxpayer earned programs and giving more tax cuts to the wealthiest that don’t need them, is NOT a budget.
Banks collapsing, the economy collapsing, gas prices rising, yea. . . maybe if the Biden regime had a good idea that wasn’t focused on destroying America the Republicans could work with the Democrats.

Just ask the repubs what their budget would be and who’d benefit.

Wow, another like for Stantis from me.
Is Stantis really catching on to the Party of Trump and Putin?

No is right — totally unable to put together a budget.

“Proposal” implies an alternative, and “No” is not an alternative.
Or am I wrong?

Republicans will reject any proposal that doesn’t acknowledge the godhood of former guy.

Republicans have the same dilemma in drafting a viable Budget proposal any 6-year-old would have in drafting one.

GOP: tax breaks for the rich, tax breaks for the rich, tax breaks for the rich, tax breaks for the rich, tax breaks for the risk…

Back, back, backward,
That’s where the wind does blow
Set course firmly for the past
And always just say “NO!”

We haven’t seen a Republican economic plan since Romney. I didn’t like it, but at least he had a plan.

Ah, so the Repubs return to being the party of NO. Well, they have had much practice.

Obstructionism for it’s own sake. If only there was a positive alternative, but that doesn’t seem to be in their agenda these days.

Maybe if the Democrats gave Republicans more chance to launder money like they do, the Republicans would agree.
