Without the morning coffee, is the first step of the stress test. Not having access to the restroom while waiting for the doctor to show up is the second step.
I had to have a Ct scan this morning at 8am and I have a PET scan at 12:30pm and can only have water. I am on a full liquid diet due to esophageal cancer and when the office called me to remind me not to have any food for 6 hours before the PET scan, they said I should eat foods high in protein, like eggs and bacon and sausage. I can’t eat food, I am existing right now on Ensure complete, but can’t have that right now because it is high in sugar and the PET scan detects radioactive sugars injected through an IV, and reacts to any sugar in my system. Only 2 more hours before I can drink my Ensure.

How am I even supposed to show up for the appointment if I can’t have coffee?
Can I get someone to drive me? Does my insurance cover that?
