Years ago, my wife and I went to a diner-style restaurant. The waitress behind the bar obviously had a cold, and sneezed twice without covering it in any way. The she wiped her runny nose with the back of her hand, and used that same hand to scoop ice out of the ice machine. We left.
I’ve crank-started a few cars and tractors over the years. A 1913 Maxwell was sort of a pain to start, but a 1920s Rambler was unbelievably easy, and quiet!
Detroit Diesel made very good 2-strokes! Used in semis, buses, work boats. Probably a little big for a mower, though.
I love the fair, and fair food! Every year, for 50+ years, I’ve gone and had some kind of food on a stick, and, always, funnel cakes. PS: love your avatar!
