I stopped reading “Dilbert” after enjoying it for many years. That’s when the blogs on his website began to seem bigoted and self-satisfied to the point of narcissistic. He seems after all to be much more like Dogbert than Dilbert, and I think he admitted that. Time to retire, Scott, and live off your comics book collections income — if that hasn’t stopped, too.
Did anyone else here ever see the Dilbert animated TV show when it aired on (I think) UPN? I watched maybe a couple of them but they were kind of “meh”. I would never have thought back then that the strip was created by a racist sociopath- of course, Scott Baio seemed sorta level-headed back then, too.
Ooo! Harsh! But spot on. And there are those who are probably not far from resuming that practice if bigots are not outed and shamed, if any of them still have the capacity for shame. If not, consequences, consequences, consequences. Scott is right, there’s no coming back from this and rightly so.
I thought I saw a report yesterday somewhere that said Dilbert had been taken off the GoComics website, but it’s still there as of right now (9:20 a.m. CST 3/1/23). I know the strip has been dropped by others; anybody know if GoComics is really going to drop it?
I suppose this is big news in cartoonland, but I think there are more important things going on that affect real people’s daily lives. To me, this foofaraw is no more significant than the eye-rolling fixation on Hunter Biden’s laptop. Who really gives a rip?

Mr. Adams: 65 years old, white, very rich, conservative, has bought into the frothings that “they’re coming to take away my God-given rights”.

Adams was on the Mt Rushmore of modern cartoonists, along with Trudeau, Guisewite, Davis, and Watterson. Type to break out the White-out!
