Strange that all this mental competence never came up during #45’s administration. I’ll bet his IQ is lower than any President ever……and don’t even talk about his mental stability!

How about a mental competency test for politicians with an I.Q. lower than 75? That would eliminate the Freedom Caucus to begin with.

We need a mandatory mental competency I.Q. test, anyone scoring 75 or less is eliminated. That would remove all members of the Freedom Caucus for a start.

I propose that anyone wishing to run for ANY public office be able to pass the same test we give to those hoping to become American citizens. That would weed out quite a few of them right off the bat.

Mental stability, mental competence, civics, & ethics testing should be required to run for a federal government position especially the presidency and vice presidency.

No one is normal. Normal is just a statistical point on a line. No one lives there.

But given how the likes of Biden and Fetterman get elected by Dems, we do need some better requirements to serve. The people in PA are not well represented. As for Biden, he sure as hell is not the acting President.

I actually think she’s doing this to help trump. She splits off enough votes from DeSatan that trump squeaks through again. The same strategy as 2016. Let the crowd split the pie enough that trumps thin slice is big enough to get him the nomination.

We don’t really need a competency test for our elected officials – we need a competency test for the American electorate much more – but here is the real “kicker” – who would be responsible for the administration of said test?…and who would be responsible for determining the results of said test?

Personally, I would be deeply suspious of anyone other than MYSELF being qualified to judge the results, and I STRONGLY suspect everyone ELSE would be suspicious of MY ability to judge the results, as well!

I believe the most rational proposal would be to place a maximum as well as a minimum age on our political aspirants, and place some type of minimum requirement of EXPERIANCE on any aspirant to elective office beyond the local level, as well.

It would not be beyond happenstance to require some demonstration of “competency” before we allow an “elected” official to assume the role desired in the federal government. After all, we require a certain degree of proven competency before we allow anyone to operate a mechanical contrivance of any sort.

A demonstration of “competency” at the local level would not eliminate the “deadwood”, of course, but it would serve to keep the more dangerous elements at bay, and a more general requirement of EDUCATION of the masses is also needed, in my opinion, as well as more complete transparency in ANY process leading TO the election of our eventual leaders would help, as well – the entire edifice that led to the election of Donnie John was and still is “rotten to the core” and needs to be replaced.

The entire process that led to Biden believing he needs to continue on needs to be revised, as well, but, of the two, the process that led to the election of Trump is, by far, the more dangerous of the two.

At 76 I’m not sure I’d pass an objective test, if there is such a thing, for the mental capacity to be president. I’m sure there are others my age who’d have no problem. Haley might pass the cognitive test but her moral character is a complete fail.

Third serial fabricator among GOP freshmen unmasked: This one claims he hunted sex criminals

WTVF’s Phil Williams reported Thursday evening that Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles appears to have fabricated large portions of his life, with Williams writing that the freshman Republican has claimed to be “an economist, a nationally recognized expert in tax policy and health care, a trained police officer, even an expert in international sex crimes”—none of which appears to be true. Ogles won his first term last year in a newly gerrymandered Middle Tennessee district, and he went on to oppose Kevin McCarthy for speaker on 11 straight ballots before finally falling into line.

During last year’s primary, Ogles presented himself “as a former member of law enforcement” in a debate, saying he’d “worked in international sex crimes, specifically child trafficking.” He also made similar claims during the campaign and in his first weeks in office.

But Williams explains that the only law enforcement background Ogles had was his brief service as a volunteer reserve deputy in the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office starting in 2009―a gig that ended just two years later after he failed to meet the minimum requirements for participation or even attend meetings. A spokesperson for the sheriff added, “There is nothing in Mr. Ogles’ training or personnel file that indicates he had any involvement in ‘international sex trafficking’ in his capacity as a reserve deputy.”

Williams also found that, while the congressman has claimed to have “oversee[n] operations and investments in 12 countries” as the chief operating officer of a group that works to stop human trafficking, his tax returns show he was paid all of $4,000 for part-time work. There’s also no evidence that Ogles ever received an education in economics or worked as an economist.

There should be an age LIMIT for running for the office of President…..if you cannot run til you are 35 you shouldn’t be allowed to run AFTER 65…..real simple since those years are some of the best you’ll have…..
