You have a ditch? I’ve always wanted my very own ditch. Perhaps I’ll dig one. . … …… perhaps not. :oD

My clearly labeled, one day old garbage can blew away . Thirty (30!) years later it appeared back in it’s spot in the alley. Stranger still, it returned in perfect shape the day I was moving out of that apartment (insert Twilight Zone theme here) So, I assume it took thirty years to circumnavigate the earth. Or, found a foster home for feral garbage cans.

That’s not as bad as my one neighbor who foolishly put out a box full of packing peanuts on a windy day. The houses on the other side of him looked like they had snow-covered lawns. I’m guessing he was uninvited to a couple of Super Bowl parties.

When I went to bring in our cans last week one of them was missing its lid. The garbage company is replacing it on Friday. Since it’s been raining I had to improvise a lid.

Keep on the Sunny SideSong by Carter Family

There’s a dark and a troubled side of lifeThere’s a bright and a sunny side tooThough we meet with the darkness and strifeThe sunny side we also may viewKeep on the sunny side, always on the sunny sideKeep on the sunny side of lifeIt will help us every day, it will brighten all the wayIf we keep on the sunny side of lifeOh, the storm and its fury broke todayCrushing hopes that we cherish so dearClouds and storms will in time pass awayThe sun again will shine bright and clearKeep on the sunny side, always on the sunny sideKeep on the sunny side of lifeIt will help us every day, it will brighten all the wayIf we’ll keep on the sunny side of lifeLet us greet with a song of hope each dayThough the moments be cloudy or fairLet us trust in our Saviour alwaysTo keep us, every one, in His careKeep on the sunny side, always on the sunny sideKeep on the sunny side of lifeIt will help us every day, it will brighten all the wayIf we’ll keep on the sunny side of lifeEND
