I do not have enough information to make a decision on “artificial meat.” The fact that they are made from vegetables does make it sound like they are healthy for you.

However, what do they have to do to the vegetables and what do they have to add to them to make them look like, feel like and taste like meat?

I might support the products based on energy concerns. It takes a lot less energy and a lot less “wear and tear” on the environment to come up with vegetables than it does to produce meat. But I ask, how much coal does a power plant have to burn to produce a pound of artificial meat?

I’ve tried an impossible burger. It’s OK. I would not mind it as a food source, as long as it is safe and energy efficient.

They can make veggies look and taste like meat, the best they can do for smell is rotting meat. Vegetable burgers are good, and I feel better after eating one than I do after eating a traditional beef burger, but sometimes the satisfaction that comes from the process of eating beef far outweighs the pat on my back “good for me and my waistline” of a veggie burger.
