In America, the ammosexual fantasy that our constitutional foundation rests on their ability to threaten and intimidate everyone around them to compensate for their lack of value in society will eventually end in their own (and their families’) violent, bloody gun-related deaths by others who feel the same way. And no amount of right-wing rationalization fallacy will ever change that.
To make matters worse…a few congress members wore assault weapon pins in favor of them. WHO the hell does this, after all that’s happened? Sick, nuts and wack jobs! AND…who supplied the pins? NRA??
I have sympathy for all the families who have lost a child or loved one. Can’t imagine how they feel, especially after this ignorant, blatant show of defiance and disgusting charade. ☹️☹️☹️
Nothing can be done. See, this doesn’t happen in countries like Japan where people have no access to guns and it doesn’t happen in countries like Switzerland, or Australia where people own and have easy access to guns. It hardly happens in Canada where peole have more guns than in the USA. It would seem that the problem is not guns, guys, but American people…
However, without guns, american people would have to resort to punching their colleagues, or maybe stabbing them. That would be an improvement. Just make sure teachers don’t give scissors to 6 year old kids…
Go back to the what the founders envisioned. You have the right to own a muzzle loading, single shot weapon so long as you are a member of a well regulated militia. End of f*ing story.
FYI: I shared this comic on Facebook and got flagged, my account is restricted for 24 hours. Boneheaded move on my part, but just wanted to give a heads-up to others here.
By somebody doing it at the Republican National Convention?
At least some of those doing it seem to be doing it to get their name into the new and history books. A few have even said as much. But it’s now become so common that each new one will become little more than a footnote.
But a mass killing at that venue would be truly historic. And the “conservatives” would be so outraged at being actual victims that they wouldn’t try to cover it up, not even if they were so foolish as to think that they could. Publicity to the max! And one definitely for the history books.
I am in no way recommending that such a thing should happen, but I do make a practice of trying to understand how other individuals think, and my experience with a wide variety of “others” leads me to believe that the above scenario is possible. After all, most of those shootings have had nothing to do with partisan politics, and many have even been free of any personal connection.
The good news about the Roberts court having taken a dump on Roe vs. Wade is that now a precedent has been set against stare decisis. This means that in the hopefully near future, a SCOTUS staffed with more intelligent people will be able to overturn the dump the Roberts court has taken on the 2nd amendment.

“Final email check?”. I think I want that on my tombstone. Could also fit on the tombstone for our civilization.
Yet I laughed.

If only we could convince these fruit loops to shoot themselves FIRST it would save the rest of us a lot of trouble.
