Good grief, we just know better today. Anyone else remember the era (for instance), where baseball teams would take a Mike Mitchell or a Bill Campbell or a John Hiller, pitch them 150+ innings for a couple seasons, and blow out their arms to the point where they were never again much good? Or when just about every player in every sport smoked, lived on steaks and beer, and spent the offseasons goofing off? (Hockey great Phil Esposito once said in an interview that they pretty much spent the first week of training camp puking over the boards.)

Considering that sport stars have ten plus year careers while those in the trenches come and go in five or less, the teams and fans should expect those stars to work. If the players sole goal is to see how long he can last, then let hir go.

I don’t know if he was the the first but Kawhi Leonard did the load management thing often but won the Raptors the championship in doing so, so there they didn’t mind.

If you go to see Le Bron James play and he’s taking a nappy-poo,you should get at least half your money back.

“I felt very disrespected.I want to be celebrated and not just tolerated”.

Kyrie Irving is determined to be Sports Jerk of The Decade. One year is for sissies.

You’re plying on a TEAM,Kyrie.Look around you. Those strange things on either side of you are called ‘team-mates’.

Let us return to the glory days, when football players wore leather helmet, led with their heads, and clotheslined runners.

Charles has a point, but so did Steph Curry when he said sometimes it’s the coach’s call, not the player’s.

I think their salary should be paid per game. If you decide to sit out a game, to “rest”, then your pay for those games are docked.
