Off topic, it was 45 years ago today that Zonker visited his Uncle Duke to spend some time skiing. Observing the condition of the house Zonk made the comment “I see Aunt Sandy is away.” to which Duke apologized for the mess and explained ‘The peacocks have been sick’. Aunt Sandy never appeared in strip except a couple off scene comments and I don’t believe the peacocks ever appeared again.

I dislike Duke snd Zeke the same.

At least BD went to Yale and played QB there….but indeed, maybe real-life BD isn’t too enamored of his cartoon legacy….Harvard beats Yale 29-29….or a real-life result.
