It’s a no win situation. You get the larger one one way or the other. It’s a secrete plot to make you feel guilty. Valentines day is coming. What does she like?

To be fair he’s probably taller and heavier than she is and has higher caloric needs. Although she seems to be more active, a daily walk is probably not enough to make up the difference.

They should run for Congress. They have excellent pork (barrel) negotiating skills.

I don’t cook much but when I do my wife enjoys the pampering more that the food.

it’s true, for my mom did this all the time & one year, I stopped by & we had a meal together & i made sure she had a good portion on her plate, at first she didn’t want it ( said the rest could be saved for my dad), but she actually ate it all, and was happy she did for she was hungry, she said. It was her upbringing (her mom raised her this way) [& it was probably handed down like this]that the best piece of meat always go to the husband & they eat first (sort of), cause her family were farmers & there was always hard work that had to be done.

This is the thing. He gets the bigger potato, the bigger portion, because he’s a lot bigger than I am and can eat it all.

We both do this, I give her the best and she gives me the best. We are happy, that is all that counts.

Arlo is totally missing the point. He thinks it’s pampering, but she’s really just trying to control her food intake to control her weight, and reaps the benefits.

It’s the thought that counts.

I have the opposite problem. My husband will often eat my food if I don’t point out that the dinner is for me too. His mom led him to think he is a prince and can do no wrong. She was wrong about that.

It’s nice when both try. However, one usually will do it better than the other. Makes for a better marriage. Sadly, many couples don’t or just forget how to please their partner. ….

This is a total ‘me’ problem but I can’t help thinking the pork chop looks severely undercooked.

It looks to me like Jimmy has been watching my wife and I for years; are you my neighbor?

My sister-in-law is from Cambodia and conditioned to cater to her husband (my brother) and his family. It makes me twitchy sometimes when he asks her what she wants to do, and I can tell she’s trying to figure out what *he wants to do and answer with that.
