This shows a pretty careless attitude about secret documents. Does no one keep track? Sign out sign in.. something even school libraries have mastered.

There’s lots of official and home offices in D.C. Should be very profitable over the long run.

I am wondering just how many previous presidents had secret documents around? We’ll never know now.

I haven’t heard the level of classification yet. When I was in military “confidential” went on almost anything.

These two incidents together (Trump and Biden) do leave me wondering about a few things. What is the protocol when leaving office re. such documents? How many documents are just piled in boxes late in the rush to get out by deadlines? While the president is ultimately responsible for their underlings actions, how much “moving” does the commander-in-chief do himself? Who else might have “top secret” documents-previous presidents, vice-presidents, cabinet members Congressional members on certain committees, etc. (and maybe don’t even know it)? Is it ultimately a function of just the sheer amount of paper documents created during a term in office combined with the propensity of administrations to label so many things “top secret”?

Biden did not pack those boxes…his aids did! His aids were the careless twits who weren’t paying attention to what they were packing‼️ And of course the whiney orange monkey did it purposely, a full blown investigation is being done.

The appointee investigating was an appointee of rump! Does THIS sound weird of what?

Garland better get his priorities straight! ‼️ how much longer will he take to indict rump…OR WILL HE⁉️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️.

A disgusting display of ineffective justice in this country.. Nobody wants to bring the hammer down on the criminal…god forbid they worry about the repercussions of their careers first..and not justice for the country and WE the PEOPLE‼️‼️‼️☹️☹️☹️

I pointed out yesterday that both episodes point out, that when anyone leaves office, there is a glaring problem with how sensitive documents are handled. There is, I’m sure, some established protocol for returning and securing such documents. But apparently, it’s either ineffective, forgotten or ignored. But I do notice a difference between the Biden and Trump scenarios; Mr. Biden has not claimed he had any right to retain the documents, and his team is returning them. It seems they were is a secure location, even though they shouldn’t have been there. Nor is he crying foul simply because they were discovered.

We have too many secret documents if there are so many documents and copies that we are able to manage them by tagging, tracking, and disposing of them.

The reality is neither Biden nor Trump were personally filling boxes with files when they left office and it is possible that neither initially knew there were top secrets files in the mix. The real story is how each reacted when they found these files. Both made mistakes – Trump’s were whoppers. In any event. this is all pretty small beer and I’m already bored…let’s move on to the Georgia election tampering case which is a huge issue and the GOP clown show on Hunter’s laptop..

Maybe Biden’s secret documents were for Obama’s birthday party. Let’s see what the special counsel finds.

Republicans could never do that since it would be the reasonable thing to do and would be too late to try to convince people that was the same thing as trump’s stealing top-secret documents to sell for his personal gain at the expense of our national security.

The most disturbing thing is that these documents were out and the National Archives didn’t even know they were missing. My local library keeps better track of overdue books than this.

I have an interesting email exchange going on with Social Security. If you ask, they will tell you that they always “truncate” your SS number on forms so you are protected. Truncate means to only show part of the number. Wife and I got our annual statements last week with full number in 2 places. SSA sent millions of forms in the mail with full SS numbers. Do not assume that the feds can keep track of anything! They have not answered my last email.

Question I have is, how many secret and TS documents might be found in the homes and alternate offices of members of congress? They also have access at times and not one of them has any kind of record for tight security or being close-mouthed about secret meeting and info.
