Where’s the UNHCR when they are needed?

Greg Abbott celebrated Christmas Eve in the spirit of “Republican Jesus” — turning away the “least among us” as he dumped men, women and even children onto the sub-freezing streets of Washington DC in the midst of a record blizzard — the lowest temperatures ever recorded in DC on that date — some in only T-shirts or other light clothing.

So much for “family values.”

So much for honoring the memory of a refugee family from Galilee seeking refuge in Bethlehem. Such a “Christian” way of honoring a holiday, while his party claims to be the party that honors “Merry Christmas,” by telling Refujesus there is “no room in the inn.”

More like Scrooge. Are there no prisons? Are there no refugee camps?

Sadly, Christmas Eve came and went and there was no parade of ghosts to help Gregg “Ebenezer” Abbott find his way to moral redemption.

We should ship Abbott to The Hague.

There’s something to be said for spreading the difficulty of those migrants throughout the nation. Which will naturally spread the benefit over time as they become productive. But doing it that WAY is mean, nasty, immoral and very likely illegal too.

The thing that really tells the state of the Republican voters, was the fact the people helping these immigrants couldn’t disclose which church they took these people to, because of the very credible white supremacist terrorist threats to immigrants.

So the people in Texas are supposed to support all these people coming over the border and expecting free food, housing, healthcare, etc. ?

The few people that Texas sent to New York are estimated to cost New York $600 million a year.

I’ve heard some “Christian” conservatives express the desire to shoot migrants at the border. Religious fanatics of whatever stripe are the same throughout history and the world.

I was very christian of him to give those poor migrants a free ride to sub-polar temperatures, just not very christ-like.

s49nav is so far down the rabbit hole that he doesn’t know his whole statement is built on lies. First, these are legal refugees who have legally submitted their asylum claims. They have violated no laws.

The 14 year old that froze to death didn’t die, because of Texas going green. He died because his parents didn’t provide him enough blankets and, because Republican Texas leadership failed to bring their power grid into the 20th century, refusing to join the National Grid, just so they wouldn’t have to spend the money necessary to prevent such a problem from occurring. One thing for sure, if you want government/America to fail, vote Republican.
