The GOP always plays to the lowest, common, folks who’re easiest to fool, while doing pretty much nothing for individual citizens. The Democrats aren’t perfect, but they do aim for good things for people. And they DO deliver… when they can.
And make the unwilling pay though the teeth to buy democrats votes of the have-nots who pay little or no taxes. As charities go the government is dreadful, in that they rarely deny handouts to the entitled, the way most real charities do.
A lot of really bad stuff is left off that tree and much of what is on it is exaggerated. I seem to recall for instance that about 70% of Americans opposed the near surrender in Afghanistan. My tree would have a single ornament (covering the period starting from the election of Obama) for the Trump tax overhaul. And that was just nibbling around the edges of the drastic overhaul government urgently needs.
somehow Biden and company have taken a party long known for its peace stance to a pro-war pro-‘NATO strengthened’ party. NATO is a black hole of MIC spending.
and FOX is talking of (corporate) democrats seeming to have greased the way for the FTX scandal also, and I think they may have a point.
There needs to be investigations done into the questionable dealings that the t***p children have done and huge amounts of money they made while their daddy was in the White House.
they don’t always play to the most common there were 18,000 votes for Herschel Walker in Glynn county Georgia, most of them coming from St Simons Island and Sea Island where you can’t get on the island unless you’re one of them mega rich you don’t have to be uneducated to be turned
To be consistent, I need to point out that the federal government has very little ability to control the economic rebound, or the number of jobs. The economy is international, and all the government can do is try to mitigate or encourage an existing trend.
So… maybe 20% credit for those things, the remaining 80% is due to things beyond their control.
The tree of the left could be labeled “The Old GOP” with ornaments that say, “fiscal responsibility”, “solid infrastructure”, "respect for the individual’, and “nature conservation”, with the right tree labeled, “the New GOP”. Oh, how hollow they’ve become !
Luckovich gives us a tree with an “out of Afghanistan” bulb yet not 6 months later we are essentially in Ukraine, monetarily anyway. 20 years from now some cartoonist will be bragging on a president that finally got us out of Ukraine.

Good one, Mike. A burning Yule GOPQ log on top of Hunter’s laptop would be an appropriate comparison too.

So far, no Trump Disciples has identified ANYTHING specific on the laptop except the nude pictures they seem so fascinated with.

Unlike Benghazi, we’ll be indicting Trump at the same time they’re smearing Biden. This could be interesting as well as revolting.

Out of Afghanistan and our weapons in the Taliban’s hands.
An Inflation Reduction Act which did nothing for inflation, but was all about green energy.
Covid response that did nothing because you cannot stop this uncommon cold.
Nominating someone specifically based on skin and two X Chromosomes.
Stripping the Second Amendment.
Freeing a basketball player so they get a terrorist.
On the other side we have evidence of crimes of the Biden family which were censored by the FBI.
