Not really surprised, are you? After the casinos, the airline, the vodka, steaks, Trump (so called) university and his charity, why would anyone think that his influence on the Republican Party would end any differently. Trump is toxic and as soon as his Republican allies realize he is no longer a path to power, they will drop him like “tis potato”.

If they stopped worshiping the billionaires and corporations, and were more like the pre-Regan republicans, they might be better off. But they tied themselves to them and the christian right-wing. Not sure if the GOP will ever be back, now they’re the GQP.

A fight between the MAGAts and the rest of the Republican party will result in Trump forming his own party where he only allows people who worship him sufficiently.

Maybe we should hold off on the indictments until after Trump sends his proud boys on a mission to hang DeSantis.

Well, since the Democrats have now held the Senate no matter WHO wins in Georgia, the most fun WILL be watching the Republican Party self-destruct over the next two years as Twitler throws one temper tantrump after another until they get their keisters kicked even harder in 2024!

My fondest wish, other than seeing Trump in prison, would be that he doesn’t win the 2024 nomination, forms a third party, and rips the GQP in half.

The only Trump articles I’m interested in reading are either about his indictments/sentencing/imprisonment or his obituary. He feeds off media attention whether it’s good or bad. Just put him in front of a green screen with a monitor so he can see a CGI crowd worshiping him, then back out of the studio, shut the door and lock it. Possibly bricking it up might be better yet.

One thing for sure, they care more about their own egos than they do the Party or the Country.

Clay, I slept in today and I was going to have a good, hearty breakfast. After seeing this brilliant piece of art I don’t think that I’ll be able to finish just one pop-tart for a while. Keep up the great, intelligent, and funny work. I knew there was a reason you are at the top of my political cartoons page. Your pen/stylus is sharper than any sword. Not kind of me, but I look forward to watching the Republican party tear itself apart over tRump vs Desantis. Who knows, maybe in the battle the GOP will pull itself out of it’s sad decline and shove the crazy portion back under the rock.

DeSantis is given far more credit than he deserves for ruling over a state unlike any other in the country. This state of retirees, rust-belt escapees, income tax dodgers, and angry still-fighting-against-Castro ex-patriot Cubans is hardly reflective of the nation. When DeSantis takes his ban-the-books; don’t-say-gay; criminalize gender healthcare; kidnap Texas immigrants; penalize companies (Disney for one) for being socially conscientious sideshow on the road nationally I think (and the midterms reinforce) he will get clobbered.
