The federal government has not even used available personnel and monies allocated to preventing this from occurring. I don’t anticipate issues at the polling station I’ll be at on Tuesday but ….
This is my favorite poll worker experience story, which happened decades ago: I arrived and, after running the gauntlet of political hawkers near the door, confirmed my registration. Making my way to the big “red lever” voting machine I spied an elderly man sitting in a lawn chair by the wall, he was chin on chest sound asleep; and he had an ID tag that read "POLL JUDGE. He also had a black patch over one eye. I chuckled, made my selections, and cast my vote by pulling the red executioner’s lever. Later that day I was relating the amusing image of the sleeping judge to a good friend. Without pausing a beat, he simply remarked, “He had his patch over his good eye, too.”
“It was always a lie. The whole thing was always a lie. And it was a lie meant to rile people up. Every one of my Republican colleagues admits behind closed doors that Trump lost and there was no fraud,” – Dan Crenshaw, R-TX. 5 Nov 2022 Houston Chronicle
The BEST answer is to simply remove polling paces. I vote in my kitchen, with my state-provided voters guide beside the ballot. Yes, we do lose a little bit of that feeling of community that we had when we all went to the same places to vote, but that feeling of community is LONG gone in any case.

They failed in their coup at the national level, so they are trying hundreds of smaller coups at the local level.

For Republicans, death threats are the natural order of things.
They hate democracy and elections and are trying to rid America of them.

The right has gone full crazy with their words and actions. My dad crawled across France to stop this decades ago.

A vote for the right wing death threat party is a vote to kill American democracy.

Coincidentally, ballots and bullets only have two letters different

“Oh, who _”watches polls"_ with the poll-watcher’s daughter,
While the poll-watcher’s busy watching polls?
Gee oh gosh oh gee,
That’s what worries me.
I know that the poll-watcher must watch polls,
To catch ballot-dumpers are his only goals,
So, who “watches polls” with the poll-watcher’s daughter,
While the poll-watcher’s busy watching polls?
CHORUS
And who runs away from the poll-watcher’s daughter,
When the poll-watcher’s daughter’s in the club?
Gee oh gosh oh gee,
That’s what worries me.
I know that the poll-watcher’s daughter’s future’s firm,
She’s gonna hafta carry it fully to term,
Boo-Hoo ‘cause the poll-watcher’s head’s up his -
But seriously folks, stand up and vote!
