Sounds about right… fascists and mafiosi (And lately, MAGA Republicans) share the same ethical code- which is to say, none to speak of.

Why are armed, partisan vote watchers allowed anywhere near a polling station?

They’re working as hard as they can to MAKE something bad happen to it.

It goes perfectly with death threats to ballot counters.

If you can’t successfully have a coup at the Capitol, then have many small ones at the ballot box.

This is the Republican way. Terrorize legitimate voters and elections officials (and some elected officials as well). With their threats and intimidation (including taking photos of voters license plates, leaving threatening messages on phones, publishing addresses and phone numbers of local officials…), they have succeeded in driving this democracy to the brink of collapse.

And I will repeat this right here for ALL to see…Six cases of alleged voter intimidation at drop box locations in Arizona have been referred to the Justice Department in Washington, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs said Monday, as early voting options have been open for nearly two weeks across the state.

“Voter harassment may include gathering around ballot drop boxes questioning voters, brandishing weapons, taking pictures of people voting and following or chasing voters who are attempting to drop off their ballots, and it can all be considered voter intimidation. It is unacceptable,” Hobbs said in a release. “I will continue to forward reports received to law enforcement, and I urge law enforcement to take action to protect voters from ongoing intimidation.”

Attorney General Merrick Garland, asked on Monday about voter intimidation at Arizona ballot drop boxes, said, “The Justice Department has an obligation to guarantee a free and fair vote by everyone whose qualified to vote and will not permit voters to be intimidated.”

Five recorded complaints obtained by ABC News occurred between Oct. 17 and Oct. 22, outside ballot drop boxes at 501 S. 3rd Ave. in Phoenix and at the Mesa Juvenile Court, both in Maricopa County. Most described an instance of groups of individuals loitering near the drop boxes, filming and photographing voters as they returned their ballots and in some cases, taking photographs of the voters’ license plates. One report described individuals dressed in “camo-clad gear” and photos from election officials show at least two armed individuals outside the Mesa drop box Friday.

Obviously they are ashamed of their actions and know it’s illegal, given they hide their identities.

What a bunch of bully a-holes! Gop thinks they can get away with anything to suit there purposes! AND THEY DO!

In 2020 with early voting there were more instances of someone receiving their relative’s ballot in the mail, post mortem, and then they voted using that ballot. With the majority of them voting for the losing president because that’s what mom would have wanted, and she is watching from heaven. Multiple voting by one person never happened, period. Early vote by mail is the safest, most secure way to vote, unless you are using an Arizona drop box.

And her response should be, “Yes, and I’m voting to preserve my democracy. Thanks for bringing that up.”

After extensive investigations required to disprove Republican claims, the only frauds found in the 2020 election were people voting in someone else’s name, usually a recently deceased relative. They were a minuscule percentage of the vote—like 19 out of a couple million. If you sincerely believe in election fraud, please volunteer to be a poll worker. The ballots are never out of the sight of people chosen by the party leaders of each party that wants someone there. It would be impossible to “drop off” a box of votes that didn’t happen, because the vote count has to match the number of people who voted, even if it takes all night to figure out why it’s one off. Then, the ballots are sealed in boxes and driven to the central counting area, by two people, one from each party, where they are again tabulated with the same standards. Mail in or drop off ballots have to have a registered voters name on an outer envelope and go directly to the central counting office. Whenever the ballot shows up, the voter’s name is marked off the list, so there is no way to vote more than once in the same name. Election fraud is just not viable with the systems in place.

I don’t mean to carp (well, yes, I do) but the dialogue could use some polishing. Read: “Nice little democracy you got, here” and “Be a shame if anything was to happen to it”.
