Baldo himself, Calvin, Jon Arbuckle, Charlie Brown, Lucy van Pelt, even Ernest P. Worrell can relate when it comes to wearing the same thing over and over.

If their outfit actually gets washed every night, that is a waste of electricity and water.

I’ve found that wearing the same color for the same day of the week works as well. Today is Friday, so it’s red. Why waste time trying to decide what to wear every day? Besides, it’s then easier to wash because my closet is also arranged for each day, making it easy to find the hangers when the clothes come back and to know when it’s time to replace the clothes.

Uniforms are great, and you never have to spend time trying to decide what to wear

They probably own 27 tee shirts, all the same color.

Steve Jobs interpreted this philosophy by buying an entire closet-full of exactly the same shirt and pants.

Einstein famously had a closet full of identical outfits so he didn’t have to give any thought to what he was going to wear.

Jeff Goldblum characters in two different movies relate this fact: “The Fly” and “Jurassic Park.”

I had a co-worker who wore black jeans and a white shirt every normal work day. He said it eliminates a decision in the morning, supposedly to save time. I didn’t see him as particularly successful or creative, compared to the rest of us.

    I like variety.

I’m neither rich nor famous, but I’ve enjoyed my life so far and expect that to continue for many more years. I’d call that “success”.

My sister actually did that in high school. She is not a success

Gracie needs to find out what those people mean by “success”. Their meaning may be different than hers. Lots of people define success only by money. Others include a happy family and good health.

I like variety, but within a limited color scheme: Blue, white, black, and gray. That way, everything goes with everything else.

I also only wear identical black socks so I never have trouble making pairs, and if I lose one it’s not an issue.

Daniel Radcliffe once put on the same clothes every day after leaving rehearsals so that the paparazzi waiting outside could not sell his image to their employers. His reasoning was that they already got him in the outfit the first day, and if he wore it again it would not be a new picture, and he was right. They showed up every day but left when they realized he was preventing them from making money off his existence.
