We certainly spend a lot of time, money and effort protecting the Saudis from their nasty neighbors. Maybe it’s time to re-think our relationship.

If we had stuck with the program that was started in the 70’s,it wouldn’t have mattered what the Saudis and OPEC+ did.

    Thanks Ronnie. /s

Petroleum will for a long time be used in various industrial and consumer products, but not nearly to the extent it is now used for gasoline. And even then, renewable sources such plants will provide the needs to which modern civilization is accustomed. . No doubt new cartels will then arise from areas that grow those plants on a large scale.

Mere solar, wind, and hydroelectric power will provide lots of energy — but what use will be the energy without enough raw material to transform into something? And even if we find something or other as a substitute, will the quality of life deteriorate in widening areas?

In the end, Earth will soon enough not be room enough to supply Humanity’s needs and wants.

Before the world goes into a panic, I should point out that 2 million barrels a day amounts to somewhere around 0.05% of total output. It was meant as show, not a rel effective cut in production.

With current and growing technologies in Solar, Wind, Wave, Biofuels, Bioplastics, Sodium-Ion battery and storage capacities, President Biden and the Democrats are the solution, not the problem, in spite of Republicans and their slow-minded grasp on embracing oil.

If Americans can get it through their heads, that using less will bring prices down! Conserve.

A dark tale of money corrupting politics — and destroying the climate:

In “The Petroleum Papers: Inside the Far-Right conspiracy to Cover Up Climate Change,” Geoff Dembicki offers a no-frills account of how we ended up on the climate precipice.

What kills me is they announce they are going to cut production and prices jump two seconds later. Prices drop and it takes months before it’s reflected on the pump.

Anyway, not going to suddenly ignore the horror the Republican Party has become, because of fuel prices.

Vote Blue up and down the ticket. Your actual Freedom depends on it.

Biden has mostly exceeded my expectations, been pretty happy with his leadership with the one exception of when he met with MBS. Hope this taught him not to negotiate with evil sociopathic chain saw murderers.

We’re exporting 30% of the gasoline we’re refining. This was illegal until Big Oil’s favorite Dem, Heidi Hidecamp snuck it into a must-pass bill in 2015. Biden needs to sign an executive order stopping it right now, and Congress needs to pass a Windfall Profits Tax like Europe has. Big Oil is reporting record profits since the end of the shutdowns. We’re getting screwed at the pump, and it’s time to force them to stop.

Yes, the Republicans have friends in low places. It’s remarkable how gullible many Americans are to pin their sense of happiness on gas prices.
