Aren’t there enough big issues in the US to pay attention to, rather than spend days on the monarch of the country we rebelled against because of that system of monarchy?
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
This is clearly a fictional rainbow. Actual rainbows have the cyan (blue-green) between the yellow and blue. They usually also have distinguishable orange and violet bands. And, of course, they all blend into each other, with no distinct borders. But I suppose it’s appropriate to have a slapdash representation of a vestigial excrescence on what’s now, in practical terms, a democratic republic.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

I am expecting the same thing the Queen is experiencing when I cross over and I hope it is true.

9/11 in 2001: 2,977 dead because Bush paid no attention to presidential daily brief
9/11 in 2022: 1,075,879 dead because Trump paid no attention to presidential daily brief
Hard to believe that anybody could be 361 times more irresponsible than Dubya, but Disaster Pumpkin always had to be the biggest, didn’t he?

Trump wants to be U.S. king; is that what you want????

Imo, the best tribute would be of the Queen and Prince Philip, surrounded by her beloved Corgis.
With a separate illustration of the Queen being forgiven by Princess Diana.

The rendering of this illustration doesn’t look like Steve’s masterful style at all.
Must have been done by an “apprentice”.
