It has been three decades since Ive shared living space with a cat. even I can see how well JJ conveyed Ludwig’s playful antics as well as his perturbed question in the fourth panel. “Do You Mind?A little privacy please!”

My cat used to do this, sometimes to play, but he’d also reach under and knock on the inside of the door if he couldn’t wait his turn. Our first house was very small, so putting the litter box in the far corner of the only bathroom made the most sense.

Cats do hate a closed door.

I think the cat litter is in a laundry room, notice the shelf above Arlo’s head. We used to keep the litter box under the laundry sink next to a garbage pail, so cleanup was a breeze!

Over the years, all of my dogs insisted on accompanying me to the bathroom. I think they were afraid I would take the secret passage to the conservatory without them.

If you have the box in the bathroom (I know, but no choice), they will join you in there and use it at the same time, which can be just…“lovely.”

I always enjoyed seeing a little paw reaching under the door. Letting me know he was locked out of the bathroom. Mama, let me in!

Our tuxedo cat Groucho didn’t abide closed drawers. He especially opened the one with all my socks and pulled them out onto the floor

Do cats think you accidentally locked them out of the bathroom?

One of my cats would scoot the toy the she fetches under the door. Only 3 out of 15 of our cats learned to fetch, usually with the plastic ring from the mayo jar.

We had a cat that liked watching men urinate. It nonplussed quite a few male guests.
