My secret weapon when camping to get everyone is bacon.The smell wakes everyone without protest.

Honey butter sounds good. I like to put a little maple syrup in my cornbread.

There really IS honey butter cornbread. . .like a gazillion recipes all over the web. . .

Give me some warm Corn Fritters with the soft insides and real kernels of corn, and I’m happy!

Corn Cupcakes: 1 box cake mix, 1 box instant pudding, 2 boxes Jiffy cornmeal, 6 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 2 cups milk. Bake in well greased muffin tins at 350F for 20 minutes. Makes 36. Mix and match the cake and pudding flavors. Walks the line between sweet and savory, delicious without frosting.

Don’t forget the syrup and butter…

Okay, I am going to rant. If you want honey or sugar or jelly or syrup ON your cornbread go for it. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PUT SUGAR OR ANY OTHER SWEETENER IN CORNBREAD. Thank you for allowing me to rant.
