Elly missed the critical clue, the word “challenging.” In the world of education, that means rebellious, difficulty in following directions and rules, talking back, demanding an explanation for this and that rule, demanding to have things her way, etc. Elly mistook it as a compliment.
My older sister used to be called out of class to take me home from kindergarten, because I was disrupting the class. Now my daughter-in-law is called to take my grandson home from his daycare class.
Mom sure has spoiled this ‘later’ child. Hopefully, April will start learning the world does not entirely revolve around her… The look on Dad’s face is priceless… he understands.
most day cares will tell the parents if their child is being disruptive or getting into things they should not as they don’t want to have to deal with it, they want parents to realize it and fix the problem or at least work on it……..BUT since we are in COMIC LAND if everyone were perfect in the strips, there’d be no comics

Everyone brings joy to the room … some by entering, and some by leaving.

Nobody really likes a challenge. They’re exhausting.

Ellie, I think you need to take off those 3 pairs of rose colored glasses. April is a bright, active, challenging hand full.

Suspect that the daycare center has much practice with similar remarks.

So many ‘experts’ on child rearing here, and armchair ‘child psychologists.’

That is mother’s enthusiasm which is difficult to understand. Only mothers can understand.
