I guess Varvel got the GOP memo on the theme of the day. Gee, with no discernable facts, and contrary to the CBO Varvel and the GOP continue their lies. By the way, where are the savings from the DJT tax reduction?
Huge benefits to the country/world and basically insignificant impact predicted economically. But keep scaring the sheeple; that’s ALL the right wingers can do.
Given the larger problem in price gouging, due to corporations knowing that many people will blame Biden or Democrats in general is the larger problem. Who knows. However, increasing interest rates has been the go to solution for quite some time and not something created by the Democrats or the other countries that are employing the same technique.
I’m just glad the dollar is still strong as it made my last trip to the UK much more doable, despite car rental fees and such being much higher than the last time I crossed The Pond.
Great ‘toon Gary. Only an anti American Democrat partisan can buy into the concept of spending the way out of inflation. Gotta wonder how Sinema and Manchin were bought off. Manchin for sure sold out his state’s interests.
Yeah, Varvel, it’s such a good thing you had Sinema there to stop the interest tax carryover from being eliminated. That action does nothing for the citizens of the country or her state.
Now figure out who it benefited and celebrated loud and long when she succeeded. Of course, she did it out of the goodness of her heart.
I wonder how long it will take before editorial cartoonists of a certain kidney notice that inflation in the US is falling, and fast. Or that the “tax increases” don’t affect non-billionaires and neighborhood stores & restaurants.

Only a liberal would consider a spending and taxation bill as a way to reduce inflation. They just know things that aren’t so.

What is the Republican strategy? What has always not worked: cut taxes and spend more.
kelloggs2066 almost 2 years ago
Yep. Raise taxes. Spend lots of money. That’ll stop inflation.

You can’t run a country without taxes. The rich paid 91% under Ike, now they pay nothing and the country is going to heII in a hand basket.

Change inflation to Republicans would be more accurate.
