I think this is not a liberal/conservative issue. A significant majority of ALL USAians think that abortion should be readily available, but with some restrictions. Even folks who call themselves Catholic. I’m still mightily peeved at SCROTUS* for making Kansans work that hard, spend that much time and money just to get back some of what they had. But yes. It’s very good that they did.

The christian Taliban has always demonstrated their ignorance of Biology and immoral indifference to babies, children, and the general welfare. Conservative women are finally realizing what Liberal women have always known; Offering yourselves up to the dictates of religion is a very, very bad decision.
And the process of correcting a biased corrupt Supreme Court — that in no way reflects the public’s views — is seriously deficient in our so-called democratic republic, isn’t it?
Considering how few of us “lefties” there are in Kansas, the far "righties had to be in shock as to the numbers of their own party crossed over to help us win this. But alas, they get paid far too much to change their stance on these issues. They will always pick special interests over the people. This is why we need to continue to turn out the vote and replace as many Repugs as possible in all levels of government.
“appointment of Amy Coney Barrett increased this majority to six Catholic members of the Court, or seven if Gorsuch is classified as a Catholic.”
The Federalist Society has been identifying, grooming (that word) and promoting a certain type of federal judge and then with the help of Mitch McConnell (senate manipulator maximalist) they have developed a court that looks how THEY wanted.
the supreme court should interpret the constitution. I think it was Jefferson & franklin who thought the constitution should have a relook by the people every 20 years or so.
the articles of confederation had a random aspect to choosing judges, we should maybe do something similar.
We have to keep in mind that the vote did protect a woman’s right to an abortion but only up to the 22nd week, with is the original Kansas law. This is, though, still far better than many states seeking to ban abortion.
As a Kansan, I like this toon. Much argument was not so much about the abortion right, but the safety of the mother, harm done at late term, and in the cleanliness facilities in getting one. Abortion, unfortunately is a necessary service, but common sense needs to be in play to make it safe and fair for all concerned. I knew we’d be keeping it.
When Traitor Trump ran for president the first time, it was as a pro-choice Democrat. When he decided to run as a Republican, he was originally likely to run pro-choice, since of course his stance had actually been known for decades. (Just as it was known that he wanted Marla Maples to get an abortion, but she refused.) Then the criminal (and traitor) Steve Bannon convinced Li’l Donnie to pretend to be pro-life. Just another way to con the suckers.

The SCOTUS could change that by representing the majority of Americans, which is what the US government is supposed to do.

The Supreme Court sent Roe back to the states for them to decide. Kansas decided. The people have spoken.

Fun fact: 100% of the people who support abortion weren’t aborted.

the Constitution didn’t say you had a right to an abortion according to the supreme Court ,it also didn’t say you didn’t have a right to an abortion

From claytoonz.com:
“pro-choice is not pro-abortion.
The fact is, abortion should remain legal, even if you hate it"
