This reminds me, rations in Vietnam came with “tropical chocolate”. They looked a little strange and sometimes tasted funny, but they didn’t melt in the heat.
Before we were caught, in Third Grade we aligned differently colored crayons on construction paper and put them on the steam heat radiators. It made for pretty rainbow patterns. But all the teacher saw was “RED”!
Between the 100°+ heat days and the afternoon monsoons, weeds are almost at mid-calf, flower beds are crowded with unwanted vines, poison ivy has reared its head, and pavement is cracking. Looks the rest of our summer, I will be playing with crayons and blocks just for something to do.

Conte Crayons exist.
PS: The absolutely very BEST thing about crayons (for me, more than 50 years ago) was that you could melt them with sunlight and a magnifying glass.

Let’s not forget the Kevlar vests and other body armor.

Parents everywhere applaud the breakthrough as they no longer need to scrape melted crayons from the car’s seats.
