Future shock.

After voraciously reading innumerable optimistic Popular Science” articles during my youth, I’m now very disappointed to say, “The Future isn’t what it used to be!”

I’d hate to live there … oh, wait …

It was noted last month that George Jetson’s birthday was given in the original series as 31 July, in an episode in which he turned 40. The series was set in the year 2062—which means George was born on 31 July 2022. Congratulations, everyone: we are now living in the age of The Jetsons!
