That’s a seriously faulty rendering of mosquitoes. If I were Paul Gilligan, I’d be having a stern talking-to with my hallucinogen supplier.

What a dismal “vacation”

Sort of a Hobbit-y question here. What do they eat when they can’t get me?

Shouldn’t Timmy have a gimpy leg and a crutch?

Odd, because mosquitoes don’t live off of blood. Only female mosquitoes drink blood, and only to lay their eggs. Without blood they can’t breed, but they can live just fine.

Not camping, they have a cabin. Poncho will still find fault. Many faults.

Except that mosquitos don’t eat people. They eat plants. The females use mammal blood for creating eggs.

Well, one thing for sure, one shouldn’t count on a biology lesson when reading comics.

There should be rats and squirrels at the least.

Blood isn’t food for mosquitoes, plant nectar is. Mom’s just looking to breed and needs blood to support that. not sure what Timmy’s problem is.

Okay it’s offical this is a rerun. I was thrown off at first but this is from way back in 2000. That being said these ARE good strips and I don’t mind that gilligan is taking a few weeks off. I’m glad cartoonists are no longer expected to work EVERY week of their life or have made strips ahead of time if they do take a vacation of any sort.
