Our economy is the largest in the world. It will not stop and turn on a dime, to even attempt to do so would be disastrous. Republicans know this, that is why they feel safe in clamoring for action, while they stall progress in Congress. Lying hypocrites, they are.

We have to be careful providing financial relief to the average American citizen, because according to Senator Manchin, we’re all crack heads and will use the money on drugs.

That was Manchin’s reason for voting down Build Back Better.

The “Bureau of Economic Analysis” — believed in by both Republicans and Democrats — has for (at least) decades, excluded resident individuals from their definition of “the economy” and included only the major financial markets and mega-corporations in their “analyses”.

There are some weird things going on with the economy now that do not fit the “conventional” models. Of course, the conventional models work with money supply, supply and demand, interest rates, jobless rates, etc. They do not take into account fear and greed.
