Don’t talk about crime in California. The same laws that “empower people to protect themselves” in red states also proliferates bad guys with guns to be protected against.

I live in a small town in Ohio. It is considered to be a relatively prosperous and safe community. We have a persistent homeless problem. Gun violence is up.

Newsom has proposed that California produce insulin to provide it to those whose lives depend upon it for a much, much reduced cost to them.

A governor with authoritarian leanings and a bunch of far-left loonies running everything from animal control to school boards and add in a bunch of Soros-funded DA’s that put violent criminals back on the streets and flat out refuse to prosecute crimes that are on the books, and you get chaos. People are voting with their feet. CA has an ongoing negative migration and it’s still trending that way and not likely to abate any time soon. Businesses are pulling out, too.

Yes, states like LA are worse, but the difference is that they never had much going for them to begin with. CA did and is being needlessly ruined by their own elected idiots.

It is really scary when the Governor of California keeps lying to himself. He is like the fat lady looking in the mirror and telling herself she is not fat.

Please tell me which states have none of these problems. The caption should read, “Welcome to America.”

I love it when you guys are too lazy to actually research what your claiming. There are lots of crime data bases on the internet. I like the FBI’s:

    https://crime-data-explorer.app.cloud.gov/pages/explorer/crime/crime-trend

It turns out that California is not some lawless hellscape. We’re about in the middle for most crimes. Nearly every Southern state has a higher crime rate, particularly violent crime (specifically guns).

Homelessness? Sure. Half of the homeless in the USA live in California. That’s about 250,000 out of 40,000,000 or about 0.625% of our population. Why California? Probably because we’re the last stop west and we have great weather if you have to live outdoors. No one has any plans for helping these people. We can’t tell them to swim to Hawaii. It seems like we’re stuck with them.

Gavin Newsome is not perfect, but he’s not incompetent. I preferred Jerry Brown, but he is in a well deserved retirement. I’m sure you could find other things to say about Newsome, but at least stay away from the low hanging fruit (it’s mostly rotten anyway).

California is not a state that eats more federal funds than it kicks in, unlike many red states. Red head peckerwoods gonna peck.

And of all the bills proposed that would help all Americans (not just the oligarchy, the ultra rich, ultra “conservative”, ultra “christian”, the ultra white, and/or male only) to lead better lives, to stop gun violence, to improve healthcare, to ease the burdens of working people, name one that the Nazi party has not obstructed to the utmost of their abilities.

Red states are poor states. People are attracted to California.

Why isn’t the federal government doing anything about the homeless?

If unemployment is at 3.6% why aren’t the homeless finding jobs?
