They didn’t even unplug it. And I’ll bet Andy used Flo’s money to bet on Baker’s Boy.

@Ling Today’s strip Is funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp only needed the telly til he got the score :o) my avatar is a statement about the longevity of animals according to their activity , which one would you rather be? Come passerai il vostro sabato mio piu meno veccho amicho? our day should be quite calm, we both are in a good mood no shopping or errands to run, just stay inside the house and keep hydrated because it’ windy outside , keep safe and a bientot pal

I’m wondering why he didn’t get nicked for the license fee first. The BBC is very tight with the purse.

Yesterday, I mentioned again that the cover strip in Buster Comic was originally billed as “Buster – Son of Andy Capp”. I see that someone asked whether Buster comic paid the Daily Mirror or whether the Mirror or its publishers owned Buster Comic.

I think I’ve mentioned this before but I’ll mention it again. Buster Comic began in 1960 under a company called Fleetway which was owned by Mirror Group Newspapers. Fleetway was later bought by another company so Buster stopped being billed as “Son of Andy Capp”. Fleetway later merged with Odhams whose characters included Dan Dare and Frankie Stein. The merger created IPC Comics which revived Frankie Stein in 1973 and Dan Dare in 1977. Mirror Group Newspapers later bought IPC and changed it back to Fleetway. Buster was billed again as “Buster – Son of Andy Capp” until the Mirror sold its children’s comics to Egmont Publications.

You’d think all of the Capp’s possessions would have wheels attached to help the Repo guys.

Grapple sound will be in my head for the rest of the day. Perhaps tomorrow it’ll be replaced with biff or oof.

I once went on a call with people from Rent A Center to repo a TV from a woman who had refused to let them take it. We told her she had to let them take it, and she said to wait a minute. When she let us in, She said "While I was unhooking it, my water bottle fell over and spilled down inside (This was a 32 in tube TV.) I said “THIS water bottle?” And tried to stand up the quart-sized bottle on the shelf above the TV. It was too tall. As they carried her TV out the guy said “She apparently didn’t read her contract. She’s liable for any damages. Now she’ll have to pay for the TV!”

Yes, wait. If Andy happens to have a winner (it does happen on occasion,) just follow him down to the betting shop.

We all know the meaning of grateful as in giving thanks to our Creator. Grateful, Thankful and Blessed. Happy and Safe Independence Day weekend. All gave some. Some gave all.

It was probably punting on the ponies that put Andy in this predicament in the first place!

I was going to post that maybe if Andy didn’t blow so much money at the horse track, he might actually be able to pay for the TV, but Linguist put it so much better than I could have.

At least disconnect the TV before dragging it out.
