Not a state I would want to live in.

Not the state I want to live in, either. But it does have a person living in it that I seem to love, and her family is here…so…sigh. I do miss some things from Western Washington, like sitting in my kitchen with the windows and door open for the breeze (no ac), reading, hearing a WHUFF! sound, looking up, and seeing an elk with it’s head bent down to look in my door. Haven’t seen any Elk in the DFW area yet. On the other hand, I don’t have to be careful not to hit a wild turkey when I am driving down the twisty road to town. Miss those star things, too. Orion was a sort of a friend, liked him a lot, always dropped by in season.

But where will they get all the fruit pickers from?

Cartoon has it wrong.

They’re not planning to give the teachers guns. They intend to require them to buy “their own”.

And it was the Border Service — not the local police — that rescued what were left of the children.

The second frame was former Idiot #1’s idea!

I’ll be voting for children in November.

Along with a wall of Republican thoughts and prayers, which have been highly effective ( /s) in blunting the firestorms of high power ammo fired at too many innocents in too many mass shootings.

God how I Texas and their totally skewed/screwed priorities.

Sad but true. I live in Texas. And don’t get me started on how foster kids are treated here.

Except that’s not what the border looks like. There is Gov Abbott’s political theater with natl guard troops & vehicles standing around miles from the border doing nothing. The border…and schools…are as porous as always.

Saves a lot of money if you can get the teachers to handle the problem.. and as a bonus increase gun sales for all those mom and pop gun shops.

I was so disgusted yesterday. Heard a clip of a Republican senator saying that Democrat priorities were all wrong because they wanted to pass a gun safety bill instead of focusing on gas and inflation. I have news for you. I’m sure every one of those Uvalde parents would rather spend $15 on gas and have their kid back.

Next they’ll want to give all the kids tiny guns. No way that could go wrong now, could it?

And yet when a GQP court person is threatened Thoughts and Prayers and giving them a gun is not good enough.

Or you let the teachers that are already trained and own a gun to carry.
