Sadly the NRA now nurtures the delusional paranoia/distrust/disrespect/division that the [authoritarian] multiple gun owner feels … even those resentful young men who feel society has neglected/cheated them [Lanza, Ramos, ets] and are seeking revenge by shooting/killing defenseless soft targets [Sandy Hook, Uvalde, etc]
Interesting the barbed wire. My grammar schools had barbed wire across the top of the six foot chain link fence. Now, the school grounds are wide open.
Why does the freedom to purchase high-power guns override the freedom to not worry about being indiscriminantly gunned down by a civilian military-grade weapon? Live, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is enumerated in the Declaration, does it have no bearing on this issue?
@Patrick Murphy: see if you can find a picture of a child who was blown to bits by an AR, and then say with a straight face it’s the same as plinking cans. Use one to shoot your car’s engine. See if it will take you anywhere after that.

Exaggeration for the sake of making your point is acceptable in political cartoons.
Alas, I find this one all too probable.

It seems that an Arizona republican senate candidate is blaming the gun violence on Black people.

The GOP accuses teachers of grooming kids and then says they can be trusted to carry guns to protect them…

Doing this with schools doesn’t seem like the cheapest way to go. Who pays for this? NRA? Gun owners?

I can just imagine the sorts of uniforms they will impose on the student body. Striped jumpsuits?
