But they aren’t chicken, they are purely greedy for more money and more power.

That’s why they won’t do anything to make America safer.

    What’s the big deal?

We are used to kids being killed, along with adults, aren’t we?

And nobody even mentions injuries caused by being shot. I mean kids, and adults, have their lives ruined by getting shot, but if they survive, it’s not a problem, right?

And no one even gives a thought to the families of those killed and maimed, right?

    .

We just need to stay hardened.

squiggles actually makes a point. There are shootings in cities and they are often with handguns rather than long guns. HOWEVER, let’s look at the statistics — ie., what’s actually happening. Of the ten states with the LOWEST gun violence and homicide rates, nine have very strict gun laws. of the ten states with the HIGHEST gun violence and homicide rates (not to mention absolute numbers), they are ALL red states with lax gun laws. Oh, and New York is one of the safest states in the union.

But sure, we WANT to reduce handgun violence, too! Don’t you? And since there are loads of countries showing us how it can be done, the logical thing would be to follow their example.

Our heroes talk the talk, but when it comes to action, they blink. Then, just close their eyes, put in their ear buds, and chill. Seems it’s a form of lazy fair, or hoping problems will solve themselves.

The real reason children are gunned down in school.

Take a look at NRA campaign contributions. Then take a look at the voting records.

Guns do not kill people, Republican officials kill people.

To a Republican a mass murder using guns is an academic exercise. The dead are just numbers, statistics if you will. The GOP lawmakers sit there and discuss it academically as if they were a group of editors arguing over the placement of a comma in a sentence.

It’s all so clean and antiseptic. Issue the standard “thoughts and prayers” statement and wash your hands after cashing your check from the NRA.

Go home and sleep well, knowing you have served your country.

Not one GOP lawmaker has visited a crime scene to see blood-stained walls maybe even with bits of somebody’s brains splattered over it. They’ve not seen corpses of children laying on the classroom floor or the bodies of dead teachers hanging over them. Besides, they’re somebody else’s children, not theirs.

I’ve heard many a GOP lawmaker “feel the pain” of children who, in the GOP’s mind, are told “you’re racist because you are white” or may be upset because not everyone in the world is heterosexual. Yet not one GOP lawmaker has expressed the same kind of sympathy for children who watched their friends and classmates get gunned down in front of them.

I am a human being. I have a soul. When other people hurt I hurt too. This is why I am NOT a Republican.

’We’ll fight and we’ll die’: C-SPAN caller raring to ‘do away with government’ for guns

A Republican caller suggested to C-SPAN that he was ready to “fight” and “die” in an insurrection against the government to protect his right to own firearms.

“Let’s get it straight,” he said. “The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting or sports shooting. The Second Amendment is for the people, to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. And if you think that the guns the government has will overwhelm anything that the population has, you’re probably right to a degree.”

“But we’ll fight and we’ll die,” he continued. “Exactly what we’ve done in the past. Because we will not be subjugated by a tyrannical government. Period. And there’s many of us, many millions and we are not going to let anything come between us and the Second Amendment.”

The Republican caller added: “We will do away with the government itself on our own in Washington if they try to take away our Second Amendment.”

Republiguns keep weapons of war legal for murderous dirtbags like that guy.

Gang shooting leaves eight victims at Summerton graduation party

SUMMERTON, S.C. (WIS) – A high school graduation party in Clarendon County was interrupted with gunfire Saturday night in Summerton.

Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley said eight people were shot at the party on Highway 15 S near Saint Paul Rd. At the time of the 11 p.m. shooting there were around 150 people attending.

Baxley shared that two cars pulled into the yard and opened fire before speeding off. Investigators said up to 70 rounds were fired during the attack. It is currently being investigated if some of the rounds were from people returning fire.

First responders from the Clarendon County Fire Rescue and Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) treated multiple gunshot victims at the scene.

Baxley said that this was a gang related shooting connected to previous drive-by shootings in the county.

It is currently unknown if there were specific targets or if the shooters were firing randomly into the crowd.

The age range of the victims is 12 to 36 years old.

The juvenile victim ages are 12, 13, 14, two 15 year-olds and one 17 year-old. The adults hit were 32 and 36 years old.

The 32-year-old woman was reported to have died of her injuries Sunday morning.

GOP Moved From Conservative Principles to ‘Cult of Personality’

Former Representative Denver Riggleman said Sunday that the Republican Party has “moved away from conservative principles,” to a “cult of personality” surrounding former President Donald Trump.

His comments came during an interview on CNN after he was asked about remarks made by Representative Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican, who said there is “absolutely a cult of personality around Donald Trump” within segments of her party, in an interview that was released Friday.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/gop-moved-from-conservative-principles-to-cult-of-personality-riggleman/ar-AAY78KN?bk=1&ocid=msedgntp&cvid=efde787c344e4fb3819bbd8763523ff8

Trump’s personality is totally crappy, no one wants to be like that lying racist insurrectionist.

What’s the difference between a regular joke and a Republican joke?

A regular joke starts off with “A man walks into a bar …”

A Republican joke starts off with “A gunman walks into a classroom …”

Republicans do not take gun deaths seriously, otherwise they would do SOMETHING about it other than cash their NRA checks.

The GOP cowards in Ohio did do something: they passed a bill to give teachers 40 hours of training so they can be armed in the classroom. Handgun vs. AR-15 – yeah, in this is a fair fight – good guy with the gun loses and the gunman gets off on self-defense! Typical Republican activity, put the blame for their problems on somebody else: teachers, doors, refused prescriptions … ANYTHING but guns.
