They don’t understand the part where spirituality is not a buffet, where you can pick and choose whatever you want.

They believe that that phrase is only for others.

They don’t care about anyone after they are born.

Jesus (or those who wrote about him initially) proposed a pretty radical philosophy, setting a pretty high bar. Maybe it’s just aspirational, but why does it seem that so many “Christians” pretend those aspects of their faith do not exist?

Our Lord Jesus Christ commands in John 15:12 “My command is this: love each other as I have loved you.” Guns and war are no part of God’s plan for us!

Actually, the original stated, “Thou shalt do no murder.” Otherwise, God would have ordered the Hebrews to violate his own commandment at the battle of Jericho and other biblical battles.

The Command is “Thou shalt not MURDER.” Self-defense is not MURDER.

That part’s not in the GOP Jesus Bible.

Then there’s God.
