The Civil War was fought because cotton was the basis of the economy in the South, and the people there couldn’t imagine a world without cotton to support them and the slaves needed to harvest it. Now they do fine without it. Please, citizens, use your brains. The droughts, wildfires, extreme weather—hot and cold—and huge hurricanes and tornadoes are costing us billions, not to mention lives. We have to make changes. The sooner we do it, the better. And BTW, do you want a pipe line through your property? If so, volunteer to have it put there.
Boc should look at Oklahoma, the pipelines at Cushing are running full time. It is total ignorance for anyone to claim functioning pipelines have been shut down.
I can’t imagine being so afraid of the future that you would rather destroy it than live in it. But that is exactly what conservatives seem to be doing.
I still don’t know where all the electricity is going to come from for these highly anticipated electric cars. California can’t even keep up with their current (pun intended) demands.
Solar cells can be placed over canals, they wouldn’t take any more land, the water will keep them cooler, the cover over the canal will stop evaporation.
Wind generators in Illinois are producing lots of good clean energy. Whereas, Texas with the extreme heat likely this summer, is likely to have lots of power outages, again.

“Silly” is supposed to be a SMALL part of the political cartoonist’s oeuvre. Then there’s “stupid”…
PS: People have already begun businesses dealing with Teslas that run out of power where they can’t plug in to recharge. It ain’t rocket surgery.

The Left thinks electric vehicles will solve everything.
They’re forgetting the brownouts their policies keep causing.
