I personally think that won’t work: the person will just take Baldo’s sandwich and leave Baldo the other bag or take both bags.

If i carried a sack lunch when i was working. And someone was stealing lunches out of the fridge. I’d make a sandwich that had Ghost Peppers in it. See if they liked that.

Just write “tongue sandwich” on it. It won’t be touched. And you can do that even if that’s not what it really is.

Get some headcheese and make a sandwich with that. That would work.

One would hope it’s the traditional sandwich—-tunafish, heavy on the mayo, left out…overnight…under a heat lamp…

I remember reading a story, not sure if it was true, about someone stealing sweets from the the lunch bags at school. One mom deliberately made a blackberry pie. I think it was more of a pastry with blackberries in it with the intention of it being stolen. When the pastry was found gone, the mom’s kid told the teacher that who ever stole the blackberry pie could be found because it would stain the tongue and mouth. Problem solved.

In a student photographic darkroom, it appeared that someone was using my film-developing chemicals — which are only good for a few uses. So I switched the labels on my developer and fixer. If the scoundrel used fixer (labelled “developer”) first, his film would be irrevocably blank.

At least it wasn’t as nasty and vulgar as Ross Gellar’s message about his sandwich. (It was from an episode of “Friends”.)

I had a CoWorker who tackled the Lunch Thief problem by cleaning out her Refrigerator and taking all the stuff that needed to be Thrown Out, mixing it all together to hide the mold, and putting the resulting mess in a plastic container with her name on it in the work refrigerator.

Sure enough, someone Stole and ate it. Then, she told everyone what she had done.

Don’t know if the Lunch thief got Sick, but, the thefts stopped.
