Here we see the infamous “Cassandra Conundrum” in action. Able to foresee the future, but unable to change it.

The curse of Cassandra is especially ornery because it doesn’t just affect her. It makes everyone she tells stupid. “All my past predictions have come true! Why won’t you believe this one?!” “Because…it’s…just wrong?”

I like to imagine her trying to use the curse to her advantage, as when she doesn’t want someone to know. “My friend’s about to give you a wedgie.” “Yeah, right…HRK!”

I remember a pop quiz I had in a literature class once in high school. We were told to take out a sheet of paper but the only paper I had were Big Bambu rolling papers. Well, I took the test on a single leaf of rolling paper and turned it it. The next day Mrs. Fleetwood gave me back my test, said I got an “A”, but next time to ask for regular paper because she hated having to read through a loupe.I liked her and got a lot from her class (besides being in trouble).
