Well Norm knows his dad. If he tries to fix it total failure.

If it involves plumbing, is it a “simple” do-it-yourself project?

They all look simple on YouTube. Until I get involved. They’re all taking apart modern equipment with the latest tools. I have a pair of pliers and some ancient brittle crap.

Paying a pro to do it correctly the first time versus 6 trips to the hardware store to finally get the right parts. On woodworking/drywall/painting, having it look better than you can do it.

First, the Mother’s day breakfast idea. Now this. Is Norman starting to build up some decent neural connections? Go on, Norman, go on!

I installed a new toilet, one of those high-pressure ones. The water ran continuously. Called support and got walked through the adjustment procedure. Apparently 20% of the toilets were shipping in the “test” mode.

When it comes to Ralph Drabble, calling a plumber is the BEST advice. But this woman knows how to fix that issue. lol

Just bend that metal wire thingy holding the plug. That’ll do her.

I surprised by his answer, I though he’d say set up a net to catch it.

People who can’t do basic maintenance on something as simple as a toilet will end up wasting a lot of money on expensive plumbing repairs.

First thing: try turning the screw; if that doesn’t work, try bending the float arm; if that doesn’t work, replace the flapper. None of the above work? Time for a new in-tank assembly. Pretty simple, but if you’re s simpleton, maybe call a plumber.

I’ve actually managed to change the float a couple of times. Now, I usually call my handyman. I know it doesn’t need a plumber for that & it’s a side job for him, so not expensive,

Just an observation. Most people kill themselves doing plumbing repairs because they are still in the mindset developed when they were young and without finances. Maybe stop and think: the price of a plumber is actually not going to kill me (any more).
